For many years now, google has been criticized by the entertainment industry for allowing their users upload music and videos that are copyrighted. Though google does have policies on what can and cannot be uploaded – things still fall thru the cracks and get posted. On Thursday, April 14, 2011, google has created a video called “YouTube copyright school” – a video tutorial that shows the users the revised policies and provides a crash course on copyrights.
Users who are found to violate copyright laws will be required to complete “YouTube copyright school” which means they will need to watch the video and pass a quiz about it to prove they understand YouTube’s copyright policies and hopefully not violate their policy again.
