Yuriy has been involved in online marketplaces business since 2008. Prior to co-founding Lalafo, he was the Head of Marketing at Slando in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. Slando became a part of world’s 3rd biggest classified Avito after a successful completion of a $570 million deal, growing into one of the strongest market leaders in Ukraine and Kazakhstan.
Yuriy has also served in a variety of leadership roles in consulting companies and International organizations (such as UNDP, USAID).
Co-Founder and Managing Director at RYTE, Germany
Marcus Tandler, also known as Mediadonis, is Co-Founder and Managing Director at RYTE (formerly known as OnPage.org) – an award-winning SaaS Tech-StartUp with the mission to help webmasters make better websites.
Marcus started working in the SEO industry about 20 years ago and has just recently been honored as “European Search Personality of the Year 2017” at the renowned European Search Awards in Krakow. He’s a regular speaker at various conferences around the world such as TEDx, LeWeb, The Next Web, SMX and O’Reilly’s web2.0expo. He got lectureships at the University of Applied Sciences Erding, the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt, the University of Applied Sciences Munich and the University of Applied Sciences Salzburg, teaching students how to excel in Online Marketing.
Marcus holds a master’s of arts and a diploma in marketing. He resides in Munich, Germany.
VP of Sales at Scamalytics
Dave has been at the cutting edge of technology since he started programming back in the 1960’s and he continues to promote the latest technology available to make sure that online businesses worldwide are protected as far as is reasonable possible.
User interface has always been at the heart of his work since the early days as a Systems Analyst through to setting up and running internet based businesses.
He was responsible for taking the world’s first Virtual Credit card to market and fraud protection was a key element of the proposition (www.entropay.com).
His goal is always to maximize genuine revenues by making the customer journey easy whilst at the same time minimising the opportunity for fraud.
For the last 15 years he has worked on fighting internet fraud in in high risk industries such as online gambling, online dating and payments introducing and helping to develop the latest technology (www.iovation.com).
More recently Dave has worked with Scamalytics using a network of dating sites to collaboratively fight scammers and is looking to bring the same technology to the classifieds industry.
Dave is also a keen fisherman and loves to travel
Dr Fabian Schulz
Partner at Simon-Kucher, Germany
Dr. Fabian Schulz is a Partner in Simon-Kucherʼs Frankfurt office. He has been with the company since 2007.
He primarily conducts projects for software companies, payment processors, online platforms, and IT service companies.
His consulting focus is on monetization strategies, sales optimization, customer-focused management, and digitalization strategies. He is a frequent speaker at industry events and a guest lecturer at universities.
Dr. Fabian Schulz holds a PhD from the chair for e-commerce at the Goethe University Frankfurt. His research is focused on market research methodologies and consumer behavior and is published in leading scientific journals.
He studied at the HHL-Leipzig Graduate School of Management and the Concordia University Montreal, with a focus on strategy and corporate finance.

Fergus has spent 14 years working in communications and marketing roles for a variety of brands and businesses in the UK and abroad, both in PR agencies (Blue Rubicon and Golin) and now in house at Gumtree – part of the eBay classifieds Group. In his role at Gumtree he is focused on building the profile and reputation of the business within the UK, and rebutting misperceptions of the brand, by building proactive consumer and corporate campaigns.
While these activities are broad in nature – ranging from creating physical activities which bring the sharing economy to life, or showing tech-savvy audiences how a mature trading platform like Gumtree can help you get a job, declutter your home, or find a new flatmate – consistent to all is a fundamental belief that Gumtree is in the business of helping people. Anton Zabannykh heads Yandex.Classifieds, a Yandex subsidiary company incorporating the automobile portal Auto.ru, the property search site Yandex.Realty and the employment vacancy aggregator Yandex.Jobs.
Anton started his career at Yandex in 2006 as a project manager for the company’s email service, Yandex.Mail. Later, the scope of his responsibilities expanded to a whole range of products for personal communication and content sharing, including a cloud storage service, Yandex.Disk, a photo sharing service, Yandex.Fotki, and the identity layer on Yandex.
Prior to joining Yandex, Anton was a software developer with Russia’s first auction website Molotok.ru, and lead development for the Yekaterinburg portal E1.ru.
Yandex.Classifieds was formed in 2015. Its revenue in the first quarter of 2017 was 371 million roubles (about US$6.2 million), an increase of 54% over the previous year.

Joanne Bou Jawad
COO at OpenSooq
Joanne Bou Jawad is the Chief Operating Officer of OpenSooq, one of the leading online classifieds platforms in MENA region. She oversees operations, strategy and product development at OpenSooq, and is responsible of leading the teams to set and drive the vision and targets to achieve optimum user and revenue growth.
Joanne was also responsible for sourcing and implementing the corporate development initiatives out of the UAE for iMENA Group; a holding company operating online and mobile businesses (including OpenSooq) for consumers and enterprises in MENA Markets.
Joanne also worked with Namshi.com, an e-commerce Rocket-Internet company as the Head of Digital Strategy where she set-up and led initiatives such as on-site analytics, conversion and performance optimization, product development, brand positioning and definition and content strategy setting across sites, apps and marketing channels.
Before joining Namshi, Joanne was a Team Manager at Nokia Siemens Networks responsible for the Intelligent Networks of multiple telecom operators in MENA.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer and Communications Engineering from the American University of Beirut.

Malcolm Myers has spent the last 20 years as a key contributor to the commercial success of a series of fast growing international mobile and Internet companies.
As a Business Developer, he has acquired 12 classifieds and e-commerce companies across Central & Eastern Europe and S.E. Asia. He has successfully negotiated MVNO agreements across 4 continents as a buyer, and secured $200 million in MVNO sales in Switzerland as a seller.
As a Sales and Marketing Executive, he was a key contributor to the success of Sunrise and yallo.ch, its sister brand, taking them from business plan stage to $3 billion exit. Unrelenting focus on keeping a highly differentiated proposition, combined with rapid execution, have been common threads to his success. He has also built up the worldwide sales operations of Truphone, from Sydney to San Francisco.
And as a Strategist, he has advised major classifieds and e-commerce companies on how to enter new businesses and expand overseas, and is also actively involved in the community of Internet entrepreneurs and venture capitalists.

Aleksandra Gergin works as a vendor manager at eBay and is responsible for ensuring high quality delivery and operational results from partners and vendors serving Marktplaats and 2dehands.
Her career started in telecom where she has worked as everything from service agent to customer support manager. Though she has had many different roles, they have always been somehow related to customer support and satisfaction.
After 15 years in telecom Aleksandra decided to follow her passion; to work for one of the biggest players in the digital stratosphere: eBay.
Working at a company that is entrenched in the online world excites her because of the ever-increasing role it plays in our day to day lives.
