Just a short ferry ride from Helsinki, Finland stands the enchanting town of St. Petersburg, Russia just yearning to be explored by you. St. Petersburg is a city rich in history, culture, architecture and an exuberant night life. It’s not a city you want to miss, especially when you’re only a boat ride away and can see it without obtaining a visa! That’s right! ICMA is coordinating a 3 day, visa free, return trip tour from Helsinki, Finland to St. Petersburg, Russia.

The luxury tour package you will be taking includes:

Monday 26 May

Cruise Departure at 18:00
Arrive at the Princess Maria harbour in Helsinki at least 90 minutes (16:30)before the overnight cruise departure time. While you sail to St. Petersburg, Russia, you will be able to enjoy the on board entertainment and buffet dinner.

Tuesday 27 May

Your ferry will arrive into St. Petersburg at 09:30.

3 Day Tour: 
After breakfast there will be a shuttle bus city tour provided. However, if you choose, you may elect to participate in one of the below tour options at an additional fee:

Best of St Petersburg tour (approx. 8 hours) €65
Magnificent fountains, waterfalls, statues and gardens grace Peter the Great´s summer palace, which is situated on the Gulf of Finland, 30 km west of St. Petersburg. Restored interiors from the 18th and 19th centuries are fabulous!

Hermitage tour (approx. 4 hours) 40
This incredible museum has about 2.7 million works of art housed in five buildings, one of which is the Winter Palace, the former residence of the Russian czars. The vast collections contain Western European works by masters such as Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Degas, Renoir and Matisse, antique sculpture, period furniture and much more.

After your chosen tour concludes, return to the boat for departure to Helsinki at 19:00.  NOTE: You MUST be at the port 1 hour (18:00) before departure. You will be served a buffet dinner on the ferry as well as entertainment proceeding dinner.

5 Day Tour:
After breakfast you will participate in a panoramic city tour featuring the major highlights such as the Admiralty, St. Isaac’s Cathedral, St. Nicolas Cathedral, Palace Square, Smolny Convent, followed by a visit to Peter and Paul fortress.

Lunch and dinner are on your own

Wednesday 28 May

3 Day Tour:
Your overnight ferry ride concludes upon the arrival into Helsinki at 08:00. Once the ferry has docked in the Helsinki harbour, you may continue your onward journey.

5 Day Tour:
After breakfast is served at your hotel, you have the option to tour the Hermitage Museum featuring Old Masters, State Rooms of the Winter Palace and Impressionists´ Exhibition. Be ready for a long walk! Extra €115/person.

Thursday 29 May

5 Day Tour
Breakfast is at your hotel and then you have the option to tour the Pushkin, the former Imperial summer residences and visit to beautiful Catherine´s Palace with lunch in traditional Russian style at local restaurant. Extra €160/person.

Catch the shuttle to the harbour for a prompt departure of 19:00. NOTE: Be at the harbour 1 hour (18:00) prior to departure

Friday 30 May

5 Day Tour
Arrive in Helsinki at 08:30 and continue your onward journey

Travel Requirements

  • Return must be in 72 hours, starting from the arrival to St. Petersburg
  • Passport with at least 6 months validity
  • Shuttle bus ticket (included in packages cost)
  • Hotel/hostel reservation (in case of passenger stays overnight in St. Petersburg)

For visa-free entrance you need to provide following passport details when you book your cruise:

  • First name(s) and surname
  • Date and place of birth
  • Passport number and expiry date
  • Citizenship

Important notes

Departure from Helsinki Monday 26 May:  All passengers must be at the port latest 16:30 to fill out documentation for the visa free cruise.

Departure from St. Petersburg on Wednesday 28 May or Friday 30 May:  All passengers must be at the port latest 1 hour prior to departure to clear  immigration formalities.  The ferry will not wait as it will depart at the scheduled time.
