18 – 19 September 2008, Amsterdam
WHO SHOULD ATTEND?
The Lab is designed for sales managers/supervisors, senior sales reps and account managers working on classified media products, print or online. They will benefit from the “refresher” aspects of the sales training but most importantly, learn valuable strategies to help them address the challenges of effectively presenting and closing more complex package deals with time-pressed customers.
WHAT WILL THE LAB COVER?
Check out the full programme of topics on the programme page.
WHO IS LEADING THE WORKSHOP?
The facilitator of the Sales Lab will be Mike Blinder, President of the Blinder Group LLC, based in Tampa Bay, Florida, USA. Mike has worked with media companies all over the world to help train their sales teams to convert more sales and increase their revenues. Read more about Mike’s background, experience and what clients say about him.
WHEN DOES IT START AND END?
Starting at 11.00 on Thursday 18 September, the first day will offer 3 full sessions, broken by lunch and coffee-breaks. Networking is a key benefit of all ICMA events and so there will be a Group Dinner on the first night in a local restaurant so that everyone can continue to share information and discuss the day’s work. Friday’s 3 sessions will run from 09.00 and end at 15.30, in time to catch a flight home for the weekend, or to break early for a well-deserved weekend in Amsterdam.
WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT?
The format of the event will be informal and highly interactive. Participants will be encouraged to ask questions, challenge established views and present their own experiences, and they will have the opportunity to work in small groups as well as with all the attendees.
Attendance will be limited to 30 attendees, with no more than two from a single company to ensure broad representation and geographical diversity which will benefit all the participants.
WHERE WILL THE LAB BE HELD?The Lab will be held in the 4* Park Plaza Victoria Hotel, centrally located directly opposite from Centraal Station with a 20 minute train connection to Schiphol airport. ICMA has negotiated a room rate of just EUR 200 per night including breakfast but excluding 5% city tax. We recommend all delegates stay in the hotel to maximise networking possibilities.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?Registration costs just EUR 325 for ICMA members and EUR 895 for non-members (plus VAT – reclaimable). This includes access to all the sessions, conference materials, coffee-breaks, lunches, and the Group Dinner on the Thursday night – really great value for money!
